On April 5, 2024, the National Guard of Puerto Rico conducted its annual conference at the Convention Center at Fort Buchanan, PR. The event was marked by a series of key presentations and the election of a new Board of Directors.
Fort Buchanan, PR — On April 5, 2024, the National Guard of Puerto Rico conducted its annual conference at the Convention Center at Fort Buchanan, PR. The event was marked by a series of key presentations and the election of a new Board of Directors.
The day-long conference featured Outstanding Development Presentations (ODPs) from the PRARNG financial advisor, providing critical financial insights to attendees. Additionally, Ms. Maria Kelly from the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) delivered a highly anticipated presentation. Ms. Kelly, who serves as the Director of Marketing and Membership at NGAUS, shared invaluable information that greatly enriched the conference experience for all members.
During the event, the National Guard of Puerto Rico elected its new Board of Directors:
COL Juan Alvarez - President
COL Alvin Aponte - Vice President - Army
Lt Col Carmen Vazquez - Vice President - Air Force
CW2 Emmanuel Medina - Secretary
MAJ Luis Rosado - Treasurer
"We owe a special thanks to the National Guard Association of the United States and BG (Ret) Maria Kelly for her invaluable support and the insightful information she provided to our members," said COL Juan Alvarez, newly elected President. "Her contribution greatly enriched our conference."
Looking ahead, the National Guard of Puerto Rico is preparing for more significant events, including the 146th NGAUS General Conference in Detroit, MI. Members are encouraged to stay tuned for more details and opportunities to engage.
